Woman Arrested For Dress Code Violation In Iran Dies In Prison Zahra Bani 'Aamari, 27, a medical student at Hamadan University, died in prison less than 48 hours after being arrested on October 12 along with her fiancé for violating the Islamic dress code. The Hamadan Judicial Ministry investigations director claimed that Bani 'Aamari's death was a suicide, but a knowledgeable ministry source expressed doubts on the matter. Bani 'Aamari's family noted that she had spoken with them by phone half an hour before being informed of her death, and that the conversation had shown that her mental state was good and that she had no signs of instability.
